This add-on for Blender 4.2+ brings the power of Retro Diffusion directly into your workflow. Create pixel art textures, sprites, animations, and tilesets instantly.

How to Use

1. Accessing the Tool

You can find the RetroDiffusion panel in the Image Editor (Press N to toggle the sidebar).

Alternatively, press F3 and search for "Generate Image with RD" to launch the generator directly.

2. Generating Images

1. Open the Generator (Sidebar Panel or F3 search).
2. Enter your prompt (e.g., "A sword in a stone").
3. Select your Model Category (Fast, Plus, Pro, Tiles, Animation) and Style.
4. Set your desired resolution (Validation is built-in to prevent invalid sizes!).
5. Click Generate!

3. Using Img2Img & Render Grab

Want to turn a 3D blockout into pixel art?

1. Render your scene or object.
2. In the Image Editor, click the "Render Grab" button (or search "Render Grab"). This packages your current render as an input named "RDInput".
3. Open the Generator and check Use Img2Img.
4. Select "RDInput" as your Input Image.
5. Adjust the Strength to control how much influence the render has.
6. Generate!

4. Iterating

Enable the Overwrite checkbox to replace the current image file with new generations. This is perfect for tweaking prompts or settings until you get the perfect result without cluttering your file list.
